BrighteLife Laboratories conduct leading edge research to discover immune, stem and cancer cell based diagnostics and therapies for autoimmune, inflammatory, neurological and oncological disorders.
We investigate the mechanisms in the regulation of growth, immune and inflammatory responses relevant to multiple sclerosis, cancer and autoimmune diseases of the brain.
We study the mechanism of immune evasion by cancer and cancer stem cells and develop novel strategies of cancer immunotherapy.
Our laboratory is equipped to perform many different research projects and assays using state-of-the-art techniques.
We have tissue culture facility to culture, grow and maintain immune cells, tumor cells, and stem cells; cell biology facility to measure cell proliferation by WST-1 and CFSE assay, cell cycle progression by flow cytometry and apoptosis by Annexin V staining.
We have molecular biology facility to detect gene expression by quantitative real-time PCR and biochemistry facility to perform Western blot, cytokine ELISA, intracellular cytokine and surface protein detection by flow cytometry and signal transduction assays.
We use these techniques to conduct in-house discovery research projects, collaborative contract research projects and other bioassay services.
